ULISSES CORREIA E SILVA , Prime Minister of Cabo Verde, said that the COVID-19 pandemic has shown the importance of multilateralism.  When borders close, everyone loses.  The devastating potential and reality of climate change knows no boundaries either.  Cabo Verde welcomes the Declaration of the General Assembly, which symbolizes the critical nature of this moment.  This is the moment when multilateral intergovernmental action is essential.  Multilateralism is relevant not only as a principle but as a space for engagement.
